On 18^th March, 2010, the Provincial Emergency Response Office published The Report on Assessment of the Division's Management of Emergency Response, and praised Shandong MSA for its contributions to emergency response in 2009.

 

In the year of 2009, Shandong MSA organized search and salvage for 164 times. 1109 ships and 49 helicopters attended salvages. There were 1065 persons and 76 ships that were successfully rescued. Among all the persons who were salvaged, there were 96.1% persons who were successfully rescued. Besides, Shandong MSA successfully disposed serious emergencies, such as the collision between "An Sheng Ji 6" which was in Weihai water area and "Tian Chi 2", "4.15" hurricane for fishing boats in Bin Zhou water area, the fire for "Silver River Princess" in Yantai water area and "12.5" grounding of "AFFLATUS"in Yantai water area.
