In the past June, Shandong MSA carried out a series of actions to make its jurisdictional waters safe. Passenger volume by water transport increased while freight volume dropped. Coastal shipping kept prosperous. 6 maritime incidents happened, among which 2 incidents were with highest level and 2 with higher level. Compared with May, the incident number reduced by 27.3%. The maritime safety situation kept stable.

 

July is a peak period for coastal tourism and also for tropical cyclones. Shandon MSA would actively take precautions to ensure safety of maritime situation.
