Last year, Weihai MSA focused on the ship tonnage measure, identification of important dates in ship building and supervision of ship survey quality. 42 ships in service were inspected, reaching enough coverage rate, while 2 ships with serious defects were investigated and dealt with. 51 ships were checked on site, with growing by 155% year on year and accounting for 35.4% of the total of all Shandong province. 13 ships’ important dates in building were identified with 100% identification rate.  Both the number and the proportion of the ships checked and identified ranked number one in Shandong MSA.
