On the afternoon of October 15, on behalf of China and Shandong Maritime Search and Rescue Centers, Yan MSA presented awards to the fourteen units for their outstanding contribution to maritime search and rescue. Such award is to encourage the social force to join in the maritime salvage and to push the joint maritime search and rescue mechanism forward.

 

Social search and rescue force is the key supplementary to the professional force. Since 2013, the two of the awarded units have dispatched ships for 81 times and rescued 95 persons and 8 vessels in distress.
