In order to guarantee the stable maritime safety situation in the jurisdictional waters during the APEC 2014 Last Seminar Officials’ Meeting and the APEC Economic Leaders’ Week, Qingdao MSA took various measures to strengthen maritime safety surveillance. They attachéd high attention to the four types of vessels in the jurisdiction, carried out work to prevent from bad weather and enhanced Sino-Korea ferry safety and the use of AIS on board national ships surveillance. Meanwhile, officers have been arranged to be on duty for emergency responses.
