Shandong Meteorological Center forecasts at 1530 on October 11 north wind 5-6 and gradually up to 7-8 with gust 9-10 in Bohai Sea, Bohai Strait and the central and northern Huanghai Sea. Beihai Forecast Center of the State Ocean Administration issues bule surge and yellow storm surge pre-alert at 1600. It forecasts on 12 October surge with height of 3.5-4.5m in Bohai Sea and northern Huanghua Sea, surge with height of 4-5m in the central and southern Huanghai Sea, surge with height of 2.0-3.4m in Shandong coastal areas; tide height 80-130cm in Bohai Bay, 80-150cm in Laizhou Bay and 40-70cm in the northern coastal area of Shandong Peninsula. Certain parts will approach and probably exceed the warning level.
