To ensure safety in the jurisdictional waters during this winter and next spring, Changdao branch of Yantai MSA has strengthened on-site safety supervision. During the supervision, a dangerous situation due to the ship's hawse fouling was disposed,

 

On 1 December, law-enforcement persons of Changdao branch conducted wind prevention supervisions in its jurisdiction. An ore carrier sailing from Yantai to Weifang took shelter from strong wind at the regular anchorage in Nanshan water. The vessel was informed that the anchorage is not suitable for shelter as the wind reaches a certain level and was required to leave. When she weighed anchor, the hawse was fouled. With the assistance of the law-enforcement persons, the vessel safely put out to the safe anchorage for shelter.
