| Rizhao maritime SAR working conference holds on 6 November |
Source: Rizhao MSA Rizhao maritime search and rescue working conference was held in Rizhao on the afternoon of 6 November. Governments of Rizhao Coastal districts, members of Rizhao Maritime Search and Rescue (SAR) Center and port and shipping enterprises attended the conference. Deputy secretary-general of Rizhao municipal government Wang Hongyun was present at the conference and delivered a speech. Standing deputy secretary-general of Rizhao Maritime Rescue and Coordination Center and director of Rizhao MSA Zhang Huixia conveyed the spirits of the provincial SAR working conference and reported the fruitful achievements in terms of SAR mechanism improvement, further building of safe sea area, maritime SAR capacity building, passenger transport supervision, oil spill response capability building and safety at sea during the twelfth five-year plan period. Since the year of 2011, maritime SAR operation has been organized for 73 times. 623 persons and 47 vessels have been successfully rescued, with the SAR success ratio of 96.9%. Working experiences on SAR at sea were concluded and key problems were raised at the conference. The SAR work in the next period was also deployed. Deputy secretary-general Wang Hongyun fully affirmed the achievements and required the units concerned to endeavor to ensure safety at sea. |
