On October 11, Shandong MSA invited an expert from Container Inspection Center of China Classification Society to give an online lecture on the supervision of containers and tanks.

During the training, the expert explained in detail the Customs Convention on Containers 1972 and other relevant laws and regulations, elaborated the inspection procedures, inspection items and implementation standards of containers and tanks, with focus on the safety risks, standard operation requirements, frequent structural defects and handling principles of containers and tanks in loading, unloading, transportation and storage. Finally, the interaction was conducted to exchange views on some problems encountered in daily work.

After this training, MSA officers have a more comprehensive understanding on the containers and tanks inspection and supervision, further strengthening the safety of maritime transportation in the future.
