| Shandong MSA Holds the Oil-Spill-Response Commander Training |
In order to strengthen the oil spill response capacity and improve the personnel capability, the oil spill response commander training, according to the 2022 annual training plan of China MSA, was held online from June 20 to 24. This training was hosted by Shandong Maritime Safety Administration and organized by Yantai Oil Spill Response Technical Center. More than 40 trainees jointed in the training, which covers the causes, fate and effects of spilled oil, oil spill response regulations, oil spill response plans, oil spill response international cooperation, oil spill response strategies, marine cleanup technology, shoreline cleanup technology, response action management, oil spill surveillance and prediction, oil sampling and identification, oil spill response termination, pollution-damage compensation and media management. This was the first time that the oil spill response commander training was held online. To achieve the ideal effect, the training content was elaborately designed and related domain experts were invited as lecturers. The training came off well and was appreciated by the trainees.
