In the first morning of the Spring Festival travel rush on January 7,2023, Yantai MSA, Beihai Rescue Bureau and Beihai Navigation Support Center under the Ministry of Transport sent four boats, one rescue helicopter and two drones to carry out sea and air cruise jointly in the Bohai Strait.

This cruise focused on inspecting the navigation environment and ship traffic order of four inter-provincial passenger routes from Yantai to Dalian and three land-island transport routes from Penglai to Changdao, inspected navigation aids such as beacons and corrected maritime radio order. During this cruise, multi-party communication and video transmission exercises of shore-based, ships and helicopters are carried out simultaneously, focusing on testing the effect of emergency mission information transmission and the efficiency of the maritime emergency video platform integrated with 5G+ high-throughput satellite + cloud video technology, so as to provide reliable maritime traffic safety guarantee for the Spring Festival travel rush.

Before the Spring Festival travel rush, Shandong MSA conducted a special safety inspection on all 123 passenger ships participating in the Spring Festival travel rush , corrected 397 safety defects and eliminated ships from operating "with diseases".
