In late April, Qingdao Qianhai (Laoshan) Maritime Safety Administration  actively carried out yacht inspection and distributed "Yacht Safety Notice" to yacht management personnel.

Firstly， MSA officers checked the yacht registration status, yacht manning and fire rescue equipment one by one, via both the communication with yacht owner and verification with database.

Secondly,  the public’s familiarity with laws and regulations were boosted by legal education conducted in wharf. The yacht owners were informed the requirement of registration and keep the certificates valid.

Thirdly, the information sharing scheme, including a WeChat group, was established to further enhance timely communication on severe weather warnings, jurisdictional ban on navigation, thus the the yachts can timely get the sea conditions and new regulatory requirements.
