June 25th, 2023 is the 13th World Seafarer's Day. All ships celebrate "World Seafarer's Day" by hanging flags. In order to carry forward the seafarer spirit of "patriotism, enterprising, dedication and devotion" and to promote the maritime culture and seaman culture, a variety of celebrations were jointly held by Yantai MSA, Yantai Federation of Trade Unions, Yantai Seamen's Union, Bohai Ferry Group Co., Ltd. and Yantai seafarers vocational secondary specialized school.

This year，the theme of Seafarers' Day is "50th Anniversary of MARPOL-Our Commitment Continues", which aims to pay attention to the contributions of seafarers on protecting the marine environment.The celebration activities were operated on "China Renaissance" ship, we extended greetings to the hard-working seafarers and listened their solemn commitment to make unremitting efforts for the cause of navigation and contributions to the protection of the marine environment. In addition we organized school students to pick up plastic bottles and floating debris at the seaside to practice their promises of protecting the marine environment.

Since the establishment of "World Seafarers' Day" in 2010, Yantai MSA has organized celebrations every year, striving to create a good atmosphere in which the whole society respects and cares about seafarers, enhancing their sense of acquisition, happiness and security, creating better conditions and environment for the development of the whole crew, boosting the construction of a high-quality crew.
